MORE FLIGHTS CANCELED AT O'HARE DUE TO SNOW

A snowfall Sunday snarled traffic at O'Hare International Airport, where about 250 flights were canceled.

The airport reported delays of more than two hours for both outbound and inbound flights about 9:30 p.m., officials said. A handful of cancellations also were reported at Midway Airport, where outbound flights were delayed about 30 minutes and inbound flights were held up about two hours. (www.ChicagoTribune.com)

TRENDS THAT WILL CHANGE THE INDUSTRY

Among other trends cited are travel metasearch and the development of mobile travel applications. As global travel companies expand into Europe and Asia, mobile is likely to become an increasingly important differentiator.

LAX PARK SERVICE POLICE PUT LANDMARKS AT RISK

The force is understaffed, insufficiently trained and woefully equipped, the report by the Interior Department's inspector general concludes. Hallowed sites on the Mall are weakly guarded and vulnerable to terrorist attack, the inspector general's office found.
