Hike in Tucson
Without hikes, humans would never know the joy of sunlight on skin, the caress of a breeze on the cheek, or the emotional power of audible coyote poetry. Immerse yourself in these joys with a beginner, moderate or a more challenging half-day guided hike with Hike In Tucson.
The seasoned guides at Hike In Tucson lead groups of inquisitive hikers through safe and informative treks through the Sonoran Desert for a unique adventure. Each half-day hike in the summer begins in the early morning to dodge the sun, meeting in a variety of places depending on one's scheduled route. In the cooler "pay back time" weather, we leave twice daily in the mornings and after lunch hour. You'll then traipse along trails that twist and turn through our area's beautiful wilderness for 3-4 hours.
Trail Guides spin fact-laden tales about the desert while their gaggle of sojourners hike along paths suited to the group's collective tastes and abilities.
Guest hikers can choose from a beginner, moderate, or really challenging-level excursion, ensuring that their trips befit their skill levels so they don't wind up stuck upside-down on a cactus. Should such a situation arise, (which has not in the past. You will start to hike with confidence knowing that each guide is First Aid & CPR Certified and is exceptionally well-versed in the area's history and wildlife.
Every hike is different, sometimes boasting picturesque views of the city, glimpses of the hushed serenity of raw nature, or chances to help gangs of fugitive roadrunners (native birds) escape to a shaded cliff. Included are snacks and refreshments to sustain stamina.
You can elect to have the company donate $5 per paying guest to a desert preservation council to help with the upkeep of these pristine Sonoran Desert mountain trails. At each rest stop, guides test the group's knowledge with desert-trivia games that whip grey matter into shape while its bodily shell takes a break.
