Willcox
Willcox is located in the southeastern part of Arizona, in a valley surrounded by mountains. Locatedt 50 miles from the border of New Mexico, 80 miles from Mexico and 80 miles from Tucson, the town is easy to get to - and offers a very friendly atmosphere full of history, ranching and agriculture.

Willcox Attractions
Several museums dot Willcox, including the Rex Allen Museum, named for the singing silver screen cowboy who never forgot his Willcox roots. You can also visit the grave of Warren Earp, the youngest of the famed Earp brothers. You can also visit the Marty Robbins Museum or the Chiricahua Regional Museum, which tells about Cochise, Chiricahua Apache Chief, Geronimo and the start of Willcox. When you visit, stop by the restored Southern Pacific Depot, where the city now holds its offices. Local wineries, you-pick orchards and plenty of places to hike and picnic make Willcox a fun place to visit any time of year.
Willcox History & Culture
Originally called Maley, the town was founded as 1880 as a whistlestop on the Southern Pacific Railroad and renamed Willcox in 1889, after General Orlando B. Willcox, who visited the town that year. Cattle and agriculture built the community, and local farms still contribute to the economy today.
