Walapai 4 Wheelers Ghost Town Jamboree
through April 14, 2013
Mohave Country Fairgrounds
Ghost Town Jamboree rises from the dust after 7 years - Walapai 4 Wheelers hosting 3 days of scenic trails for all skill levels
For the first time since 2006, the Walapai 4 Wheelers Ghost Town Jamboree is back in Kingman this April 12-14. Seven runs daily will accommodate all difficulty levels, ranging from mild for stock vehicles, to wild buggy trails sure to challenge thrill seekers. Most runs will take place in the majestic Hualapai Mountains, but all rides have been chosen to showcase the surrounding mountain ranges and awesome scenery of Mohave County.
The Jamboree is headquartered at the Mohave County Fairgrounds. Each evening, a bonfire will be hosted at the Fairgrounds and is welcome to all participants. A Saturday evening raffle includes prizes local and national vendors and includes a Smittybilt 8000lb winch XRT, a Superwinch 9000-lb winch, 5 Goodyear 12.50x35x17 Wrangler MT/R with Kevlar tires, and a set of Big O Tires.
Preregistration forms are available at the Walapai 4 Wheelers Facebook page or at www.gokingman.com/GTJamboree. Registration starts on Thursday, April 11 at 10:00am and includes two event T-shirts, three days of rides covering all skill levels, a free dry camping space at the Mohave County Fairgrounds, evening bonfires and Saturday night gourmet buffet dinners for two catered by Vito’s Restaurant.
Registration is $100 per vehicle with two participants ($120 after March 25). The host hotel is Best Western Kings Inn, just 4 blocks from the Fairgrounds. For more information, call Steve Strain at 928-642-2625.
