Synopsis:  “Some people paint, some sew. I meddle,” says Dolly Levi, the famous matchmaker, in this most engaging of musical comedies and winner of 10 Tony Awards. Dolly spends most of her time pairing others, but soon decides it’s time to settle a match for herself, which she accomplishes, but only after a ruckus at an upscale restaurant! Carol Channing, Ginger Rogers, Pearl Bailey and Ethel Merman all took on the delightful role of Dolly on the Broadway stage, and Barbra Streisand starred in the lavish film adaptation. New York City at the turn of the twentieth century never looked or sounded so good!
